We all know what barcode is? Click here for more explanation.
When we say barcode; it is very identic with supermarket where cashier scanning the barcode of the goods and connected to the database minus 1 and showed the price, etc, etc.
Now; Google (Giant Search Engine company) trying to use a barcode to be used for mobile. The way it works is the advertiser put their ads with a small barcode, and these barcode needs to be scanned from built-in scanner from mobile phone. Once it’s scanned; then it will take the phone’s browser to a mobile web address.
Yes; it is very interesting. For example; the advertiser is a restaurant. Once the user scan the barcode of the restaurant; then the mobile will open up a browser and tell the user all details about the restaurant. Food, Drinks, phone number and the address as well. Some of the phone currently have built-in GPS; user can even see where the restaurant is via built-in GPS.
The technology has been out for a while and being tested in Japan; and it is very popular amongst japanese. Apparently Google has approached some telco and mobile phone companies to make this features happened here.
Barcode for Mobile; Windows 7, and Windows Home Server; we can probably built up a restaurant, mall or school database within our home network.

Multiple PCs at home? Nowadays; we have switches, routers to connect multiple PCs within 1 network environment. Sharing musics, pictures and videos are possible between networked computers. Another technology is called SAN or NAS (Storage Area Network or Network Attached Storage) can be put within networked computers.
Now; another hardware is coming, it’s called Windows Home Server. Microsoft has claimed that this home server will be very easy to setup. The functionality itself is really similar with the Office Server.
One of the feature says: “Troubleshooting made simple” - Need help? Look no further. Resolve common issues and more”. You can find other features here and here
Question: is that true? that home server will resolve common issues. If yes; then they will never the PP1 (Power Pack 1). Get the information here about Windows Home Server Power Pack 1
I can’t answer this one as I’m not using home server myself. How about you? Do you use it? Share your experience here.

No job for today; as we celebrate Australia Day (it’s a public holiday).
You may already know about the anti-virus; but I’m sure that there are still some users out there that doesn’t know anti-virus.
It is a program to protect your system (either desktop or laptop) from Virus. Also it is very identic with Symantec, Norton, Trend Micro, PC-Cilin, CA, or McAffee Antivirus. They are giant companies who are dominates world and are intended for big companies. How about home users? Users with limited budget? They will ask “is there any free anti-virus program?”
The answer is yes; AVG anti-virus; it’s very good product; I’ve used it for about 3 years now; and I don’t have any problem at all. My system is still running fast and it is NOT take high memory to load it. It is a free product. What is included in free product? basically just a virus definition; which is enough for home users; you still can pay subscription with AVG; and you will get 24/7 tech support; fast download, multiple language, etc.
I really recommend them to all home users with limited budget.
